Dr. Pailes is one of the founding partners of Valiant Anesthesia and practices both CardioVascular Anesthesiology and General Anesthesiology.
Dr. Pailes has been in the practice of Anesthesiology since completing his specialty training in 2004 at the Wake Forest School of Medicine Department of CV Anesthesiology. Prior to that he was at the University of Alabama, where he completed his specialty training in Anesthesiology.
He is board certified by both the American Board of Anesthesiology, and National Board of Echocardiography. He served as faculty at the prestigious Wake Forest School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology before transitioning to a well established private practice group in DFW. Now he directs the CardioVascular department at Valiant Anesthesia. His expertise includes anesthetic management of both adult and pediatric patients.
Apart from his numerous scholastic achievements and awards he is meticulous clinician who prepares a very systematic anesthetic management plan for all his patients. In addition to his commitment to didactics and bench research in the field of Anesthesiology, his clinical interests also include echocardiography training modules and morbidity and mortality associated with perioperative cardiac surgery.
Dr. Pailes’s non clinical interests include backpacking, hiking, mountaineering, running, weight training, and playing the guitar.
